The way it is, the way it works.

"Challenge at Crown Valley", in our intentions, will be the revival of high quality Italian western in the track of Sergio Leone's films, albeit with a deeper insight on the characters' psychology and deepest motivations for their actions, their continuous struggle between good and evil in the harsh conditions of life in the Frontier.

We are presently starting a fund-raising campaign in Indiegogo, but we are looking at funds from other sources too.

We are an independent production, which has the aim to make a high profile film in both artistic and technical way and to give it an international impact. What is new about this production, is that this is a project in which all those (actors, technical cast, authors, financiers, etc.) who are involved in the making of the film will become owners of a part of the economic exploitation rights of the movie and will participate in the distribution of the profits in proportion, in exchange for their work. This system would allow us to produce a high quality film at a fraction of the normal cost, since we will only have to pay for the live, daily expenses. Furthermore, everything is set up for the shooting of the film: artist cast, technical cast, location, support, transport, workers, designers, distribution and everything else, so we would just need the start up funds to put everything into motion.

We're confident that, for the project value which has been acknowledged from all of the parties we have contacted, we will manage to produce a great western, our passion, our challenge.

A fraction of the normal cost means that we only need ca. USD 500,000 to shoot the film and distribute it (from a budget value of USD 1.6 million) and the good news for would-be investors is that, thanks to such system of production, you invest A FRACTION of the investment value which would otherwise be necessary in a normally financed production.

The film is to be shot in English, in four weeks (24 working days), in Italy (the Salento peninsula in the South and Voghera in the North) and Spain (Tabernas, Andalucía). The distribution in Italy will be through UCI Cinemas and The Space Cinemas (which make most of Italian theatres - multiplexes).
